C&C Search

I’ve had two separate experiences with this agency, around eight years apart, one at an executive search firm and one at a private equity company. Both environments were known for extremely high staff turnover, and both had a steady stream of candidates placed by this agency passing through their “revolving doors”. On both occasions, the roles were far more stressful and unstable than described, and there was no meaningful follow up, support, or duty of care from the agency. Distress caused by the environment is treated dismissively, and there is no interest in the candidate’s wellbeing or outcome. Just a stream of unwelcome emails on seminars. It became clear to me that they take on roles other agencies avoid, and place high performing or urgently seeking candidates into them without regard for the culture, suitability, or potential impact on the individual. After moving out of the country, I hadn’t worked with them in over a year, yet today I received an HMRC tax code update stating I was still employed by them 14 months after my last assignment ended, causing a significant tax discrepancy, confirmed by a lengthy HMRC phone call. This should never happen with a competent payroll or off-boarding process. Overall, my experience has been consistently poor, and I would advise candidates to proceed with caution. There are more competent agencies in the saturated London market that place people in suitable roles that match skills and personality.

Absolutely useless experience. Spoke to Catherine Lacey who is the most useless human being alive. Extremely unprofessional and just uses ai to ask you questions. STAY AWAY

Not a great experience. I've been contacted off and on by C&C about roles over the last 12 months and they never seem to go anywhere. I've been bounced around from recruiter to recruiter which makes for a poor candidate experience as there is little continuity. I had three remote interviews for one role and was due to have a fourth scheduled in and never heard back from C&C or the client again. I followed up with both the recruiter and someone else at C&C that I had been in contact with to say I was disappointed that I had been ghosted and never heard back from either of them. Avoid if you can.

Spent a long time meeting them and the nothing. Not even a check in call. I just wish people would at least try and understand what it's like looking for a role. Miss working for Judy Fisher amazing agencies that actually got you a job. Dont waste your time.

Rychelle was quick to respond and arranged a team’s meeting to learn more about what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend approaching C&C search if you are looking for a particular office role. I had nothing but friendly, professional and supportive advice from both Indra, Lucy and Amy. Within 2 weeks I had applied for a role, had 2 interviews and was offered the position. I received valuable advice from the team and they were really friendly and genuinely wanted to help me find a permanent role. I had signed with other recruiters but none of them were as supportive or helpful in finding me anything as much as these 3 ladies were. If you have the passion, experience and personality they will have you in work within a matter of weeks. 10/10 from me!

Absolutely the worst Recruitment Company I have ever registered with. They were quick enough to get me on their books, but since then, they have rejected my CV for every job I have applied to or enquired about, even when I have all the relevant experience.!!
