On point , no flannel , giving the right interview expectations and advice , our roles align and my free times precious , I didn’t want wasted interviews . Eventually Adam found the right fit for me and their paying client ! Not wasting time for either. On point , professional, great information through out what to expect not just for the interview process but if successful what’s expected in the role. His support and communication ensured that I was kept up-to-date regularly which helped control the nerves and excitement of going for a new job. Adam also humanised the whole process by showing an understanding of what it was like to apply for a new role while still in employment - he wasn't annoyed when I missed his phone calls because I was in a meeting, or when I could only message him back at the end of the working day; he did his best to arrange my interviews during hours that would work around my old job without putting any strain on me and generally did his part to make the whole process manageable! I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Adam at ACS Recruitment Consultancy genuinely left me stunned — and I feel others should be aware. Adam called to discuss a social media role and asked me to explain my background. I spoke clearly and respectfully, pausing often to give space for questions or feedback — but he gave almost none. Just the occasional “mmhm.” I did my best to be professional and transparent. At the end of the call, he suddenly cut in and said: “Let me give you some advice — stop talking. You’ve been talking at me for 10 minutes.” I was speechless. My wife, who overheard the conversation, looked at me in shock. I had been invited to share my experience — and instead, I was shut down and belittled for doing exactly what I was asked to do. To make it worse, he ended the call with a cold, passive-aggressive “good luck in your future job searches,” which felt more like a brush-off than genuine courtesy. This wasn’t just unhelpful — it was dismissive, condescending, and deeply unprofessional. For someone whose role is supposed to guide and support people into work, it was an incredibly poor experience. I would never normally leave a review like this, but my wife and I were both genuinely shocked by how rude Adam was. It didn’t just feel like a bad phone call — it felt like a total lack of basic respect. If this is how ACS Recruitment treats candidates, I strongly urge both job seekers and employers to look elsewhere. There are far better agencies out there who understand what professionalism, respect, and empathy actually mean. I have no doubt there may be a response to this review — I’ll let others decide for themselves which tone reflects true professionalism.
