I had a positive experience with Academic Appointments. The registration process was not complicated at all, and everything was straightforward. Communication throughout was clear, and the team was helpful. Overall, I’ve found working with them to be smooth and professional.

I didn’t really have the best experience of this agency, I don’t believe they set expectations correctly. I was told in December after applying they worked with multiple schools in my area and as I was happy to do nursery and SEN it would really increase my chances of getting a role. I did let them know I was unemployed , short of money and needed something immediate - now as I was previously a recruitment consultant I believe at this point I should’ve been clearly explained how long it can actually take to get a placement. As I was told it would be immediately after my application , I paid £75 for a DBS (money I really didn’t have but as I was starting the job in a few weeks it didn’t matter) now this was the 2nd week of December - they advised the only outstanding thing was my DVS. So I called the police station and got this pushed through - it’s now the 20th February (3 months later) and they are yet to find a post for me despite being told on the phone how great my application looked and how many schools they work with near me. During the process my course was lost despite me sending over my certificate of completion signed by academic apportionments as evidence - they still wanted this re doing. I jusy think it’s unfair to take advantage of peoples situations in the aim of getting your temp figures up. This situation left me out of work and financially desolate for 3 months.

The registration process was reasonably easy and having completed that I was working within a matter of days. The staff are very knowledgeable and really friendly and helpful.

Academic Appointments is a wonderful organization to work with. They provide essential support for their staff and closely monitor staff welfare. Their assistance has been invaluable and instrumental in helping me secure a permanent job in the education sector.

Rude , unprofessional and unpleasant .Don't waste your time .

I work for the special provision schools as a teacher. All the schools I have worked in through AA have been really lovely and welcoming. The staff at AA are always very good at finding work for me to fit around some other commitments I have. Would recommend 😁
