My journey with Caraires Consultancy goes back over 2 years where Sharon was recommended to me by my line manager whom she also placed. I had returned back to work after a long career break and I found a maternity cover role which the hours and role suited me, and I was successful in gaining the role but after a 2 weeks I realised this role wasn't for me, after going through the right procedure and speaking to Sharon first I no longer went back to that role. However Sharon was really supportive giving me time and space to figure out what I was after and then I was given a temporary role which then led to a more permanent role. My initial conversation with Sharon was that eventually I wanted to work in the field that I graduated in and I was just trying to establish myself working, and hours that suited around my children. I did find a role, working in the field I graduated in and I am working there full time. The one thing that I do recognise about Sharon and Cararies is their reputation amongst schools and other work places. A lot of schools get inundated with calls from recruitment agencies but the majority of places where I worked if they needed a temp would just pick up the phone and call Sharon to see if they have anybody. Which is exactly how I was placed with any temp roles that come up. I am forever grateful for the opportunity Sharon has given and also the fact that she saw potential in myself. It has been a pleasure to work for Cararies. Thank you all for everything...... Especially Bruno ;)

I find it difficult to describe this experience as anything other than a waste of my time. I applied for a role and was promptly contacted to complete standard screening questions — I was told I would receive follow-up by the end of the day. That contact never came. The following afternoon, I had to chase this myself by phone and was again assured I would be contacted by the end of the day. Again, no response. I escalated the matter by email, requesting that a manager review the repeated false promises, and only then did I receive further contact — unsurprisingly. I was told I would receive an update call within a few days. Instead, I received an email informing me the job had been offered to another applicant. My frustration stems not from the outcome but from the poor handling throughout: • Why conduct screening if there’s no intention to progress the candidate? • Why make repeated promises of follow-up that are not kept? • Why leave the candidate to do all the chasing for basic communication? While I appreciated the initial quick outreach after applying, that positive was completely undone by the lack of professionalism and accountability that followed. This experience leaves me with little confidence that I was ever a serious contender for the role or that the process was handled fairly.

The team at Caraires were absolutely brilliant in helping me find work on three occasions a good few years ago. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for temporary or permanent employment.

I cannot recommend Caraires enough. After my initial call with Joyce, I felt at ease and confident, which isn’t something I have felt before with external recruiters. Joyce was friendly and attentive, and when it came to me interviewing, she was incredibly supportive. Like many, I was hesitant about using an agency, but I’m happy to admit that my mind has changed after using Caraires.
