I went through a five-stage interview process for a Recruitment Consultant role, which is far too much for this type of position—even doctors don’t go through that many rounds. It felt like a complete waste of time. I had an initial Teams interview, was asked to visit the office twice, had another Teams discussion, and then a final chat with yet another team member which was supposed to be an “informal chat” with a consultant I’d be covering during maternity leave, but this turned out to be yet another interview—asking the same questions I’d already answered multiple times. Overall, the process felt disorganised and unnecessarily drawn out. Not a respectful use of a candidate’s time.
