SphereDigital have been unmatched in their kindness and support in helping me get my foot through the door in tech. Jemma and James together took great care to advise me on best practises during interviews, were quick at chasing for me and it genuinely felt like they both just had my best interests at heart, nothing else. Together with them, I have found a role that I feel like was meant for me and my passions! It was really great to have them in my corner and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Their recruiter, ( don’t want to say her name because I am not a disrespectful person like her) keeps posting jobs on LinkedIn, and asks people to DM her if they would like to know more or apply for it. I have messaged her multiple times asking her if she would spare a few minutes to chat with me. I always reached out to her for roles I had significant experience for. And I would always find her leaving my messages on seen without the basic courtesy of even letting me know that I am not the person they are looking for. But even then I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I do understand that recruiters cannot personally message everyone and they might be busy, but sorry when a candidate with proper experience messages you persistently for multiple roles, you owe them a response. In the end I pleaded with her to let me know if I am not the person for the job so that I wouldn’t keep texting her, and again, she’s left me on seen. I HATE how this job market makes recruiters like these feel like they are on some power trip by ignoring people like me who are trying day and night, not because we are not without the talent or skills required to get a job, but out of sheer bad luck to be jobless in a horrible recession like situation. Anyone else like me, please, please don’t bother texting them.
