I have been working with Remedy for coming up to 18 months, and I’ve had a very positive experience to date. I first liaised with Grace Grogan, who was my first point of contact. She was very efficient at sending me all the relevant documents and keeping me updated about my students. I have since been liaising with Throy Dela Cruz, who has been my main point of contact and primary consultant for over a year. Throy has been excellent at communicating with me regarding my students, keeping me updated and well-informed about any necessary changes or updates. He always makes the effort to send an email at the end of each week to appreciate my work. He has been highly professional, supportive and understanding throughout the time I have worked here.

Securing supply work was very fast; thankfully, this is an agency that offers plenty of short-term assignments. The agency could benefit from briefing staff on the nature of the school they are entering, be it mainstram or solely SEN, which age group they will be supporting and which conditions the students have in the case of one-to-one support - other agencies proactively share these insights. Additionally, they do not volunteer information regarding payment schedules which is usually a key feature within onboarding processes. Where payments are made, discrepancies are resolved once they are escalated but these errors occur at an unusual rate i.e. incorrect day rates or missing payments for days worked. Consultants tend to keep in touch via WhatsApp, and at an inconsistent rate, responding within the hour or within 3 days. They require prompting to send confirmation emails for record keeping purposes which, in my experience, is unusual. Consultants could benefit from demonstrating greater empathy when feedback is provided regarding very high-risk SEN environments, particularly when conditions are more challenging than usual in such settings and the health and safety of staff is unfortunately at risk on a daily basis.

Remedy have found me 4 jobs so far, including my current role, and I'm very happy with the service! My consultant is Holly who is an absolute star! Jessie always phones me for my hours at the end of the week which is so helpful! Remedy usually pay me the following Wednesday as opposed to the following Friday like many other recruitment agencies.
