Hunter Selection

I was in a process but accepted another job. Pretty standard procedure really. Emma was forceful in asking me to continue with her process, but I declined. She didn’t say well done or congratulate me. She was clearly only worried about her commission and rather annoyed that I was withdrawing my application. Not professional at all.

Seems to be a severe lack of communication and punctuation. They reached out to me twice and on both occaions I had to call back. First occasion the person seemed to have fogotten me and didn't apply for the job they called me about. Second Person was alot better, but the person picking their work up whilst he was on holiday didn't call me back after I reach out about a job I applied for through this company. Suprised these people work a job which requires such skills, fundamental to the business working. Edit 27/11/25: Replying to a post about poor communication 4 years later is kinda ironic.

I have just signed an amazing job offer, this being the second job that I have found with the help of Robyn and Hunter Selection. When the time came to find a new job, Hunter Selection were the first ones I approached as they had been brilliant the previous time I went job hunting with their help. They are great match-makers and every position that I showed an interest in lead to an interview, all of which resulted in an invite to a second interview (as much as making such progress is dependent on how I present myself in the first interview, I believe it is a testament to the match-making proficiency of Hunter Selection that I managed to progress with every business). They leave no stone un-turned when delivering information about a role, culture of the business, history of a company and the more nuanced details about where a business is aiming to go in the more short-term targets, giving you great insight into whether the job is going to be a good fit, right from the get-go! Hunter Selection also supply a great resource of guidance documentation for interview techniques, on top of personal advice from the agents. They can also offer expertise on CV and Cover Letter write ups, helping you fine-tune your approach to gain that much desired edge during selection process phases. In my experience, there is no recruitment agency like Hunter Selection and no recruitment agent like Robyn when it comes to getting to know you as a candidate, picking out the roles and working styles compatible with your personal career goals and ideal working style (to be fair to the other agents at Hunter Selection, I am confident that they would be just as good, should anyone be paired with them. It’s just that Robyn had me covered for most of the journey, with just one week where she was on leave and I was left in the capable hands of Steph, who kept me informed and up to date on the progress of my applications). I have no notes for improvement on Hunter Selection, they are the best I know and the best I think an agency can be!

A waste of time 😊! There is however a lovely lady who if your luck to have her you’ll be in great hands… if you have the General manager. Don’t waste your time, he will say you’ll get feedback but won’t. Will make you feel like your not worth it. What’s ironic is I suggest he looks at his own life and do some reflection time! Take some of thier own advice

Rubbish agency, avoid at all costs, there are plenty of other recruitment agencies in Bristol which do a much better job

Really pleased with Hunter Selection, especially Alex MacDermott. Managed to secure a really good job thanks to him. He was very helpful through each stage of the process, from the initial discussion right to the final interview. Would definetly recommend.

If you want a new postion or career or maybe just something different DO NOT!..... Consider wasting your time with this recruitment agency. Full of NON professional's. Avoid at all costs.
