The experience I had with Forrest - Manchester branch, goes back a few years now. But from the look of the recent reviews, not much has changed. I was very young so I obviously didn’t have a massive CV, but I had good, relevant experience for many entry level jobs. I remember the lady I spoke to on the phone was lovely and helpful, I felt like they could actually help me in my job search, I was confident in my skills. They invited me to complete some “tests” to check my basic skills and knowledge. When I turned up for these tests, it was like I walked into an alternate reality where blatant rudeness was normal and manners were wrong. It was so strange because they’re a recruitment company … their job is to assist candidates in their job search, it wasn’t like I was making them go out of their way to help me, it was literally their job to do that. I can’t remember exactly who the lady was I met in person, either a Jessica or a Nina. I really feel like it was a Jessica. I was asked a few questions about what I was interested in, but she sounded bored and like she couldn’t care less. She immediately told me the roles I was interested in were way out of my league and I’d never stand a chance. They were basic secretary/admin jobs earning between £17,000 - £20,000 annually. She was looking at my CV like it was dirt on the bottom of her shoe and her attitude was the same when dealing with me. I was so shocked as I had never experienced this before … like ever. I didn’t know how to react and kind of went into panic mode. I couldn’t think straight, I was sweaty, hands clammy, breathing felt heavy … I think I was having a panic attack. I didn’t care about the tests anymore, but I did them anyway, I just wanted to get out of there and never deal with the company again. I left so fast after the tests. I just knew I would never answer a call or email from them ever again. They called and called and called and called. I blocked them. I could see from my blocked voicemails they were still calling. I’m guessing, I must’ve done alright on the tests. I ended up finding a job, myself, without a recruiter, as a junior paralegal in conveyancing earning £18,000 annually at that time. I had no prior experience in conveyancing or property & no degree or qualifications in law. I’ve had great jobs since, always finding them myself, without recruiters. I’m traumatised from this experience to this day and sadly I will never fully trust recruiters. I’m sure they’re not all the same and it’s unfortunate that one employee at Forrest has tarnished the whole company for me personally. I have spoken to many other recruiters in my job searches and even though in the end they didn’t help with getting me a job, they were always so professional, extremely supportive and enthusiastic when dealing with me. I avoid every role advertised by Forrest Recruitment and I will never recommend them. When any of my friends, family or colleagues mentions Forrest Recruitment, I warn them straight away. Today I work in Mergers & Acquisitions, another role I found myself without a recruiter, earning way more than £17k - £20k. I have years of experience in law now, but not in corporate law. I still got this job. I’m glad I didn’t let Forrest Recruitment knock my confidence and despite being so young at that time, I’m glad I knew better than to ever listen to advice from an unprofessional, professional with a horrible attitude. (I also find it very funny they don’t have a presence on Trust Pilot … I wonder why)

Forrest Recruitment in Manchester were fantastic with me, they were with me throughout the whole process of getting my new job. Amy, Stacey, Tara and Nina were brilliant, they showed they cared about me and Amy especially spoke to me before the interview to encourage me and wish me good luck and directly after the interview to ask me how it went ad kept in touch throughout the whole process of landing my dream job. As I've weaved in and out of permanent work, Forrest Recruitment has been a reliable constant in my life. Forrest is my go-to when I need temporary work while finding something permanent or even offering me some breathing space while I figure things out! Stacey and Tara have been looking after me and are always quick to help and champion me on my journey. Don't bother posting jobs if you're not going to respond when i reach out to ask about them. How unprofessional is this company for not even having the decency to reply?

Amazing customer service dealing with Laura. She was amazing and everything went perfectly.

I rang the agency asking if they had any vacancies available to suit my experience they had me in an interview the following day where then I was offered a permanent position the same day. Great response times and really helpful from Amy and Ramzia would highly recommend this agency.
