I didn't want to leave a negative review of CPL. David promised me verbally, and in texts, a higher rate when moving to a new contract, (a contract I found myself, and told David at the time I would not have taken at a lower rate). CPL proceeded to pay me at a rate about 2 pounds an hour lower than promised, repeatedly explaining that this was an administrative error, and encouraging me not to leave the position. Perhaps foolishly I trusted David/CPL and continued on this placement with constant reassurances that this would be rectified and backpaid. After 6 months of this, and being out of pocket nearly £1000, I left the job and CPL, and despite months of me chasing CPL, they continue to be unhelpful in resolving this, instead blaming it on an intermediate agency and stating they had no control. An easy solution would have been to honour the promised rate, or to be truthful about the rate at any point in the process instead of scapegoating. The only conclusion I can reach is that I was deceived to keep me in the role (at a time where David told me CPL were struggling and desperate for workers to stay with them). I've given CPL far too many opportunities to resolve this, but to no avail. David is a extraordinarily nice guy personally, I really wanted to be able to recommend him, but I feel let down by him and CPL. I've been advising my friends against working with CPL - There are a lot of agencies in the UK - pick a different one.

Have had a fantastic experience working with Dave at CPL. He has always been able to organise a job that suits myself as a locum physiotherapist, and unlike other agency companies is extremely upfront and honest about wages from what is being offered to what I’ll see in my pocket. The team has made the daunting process of shifting from Australia to the UK a lot simpler and smoother!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience with David at CPL UK health care for my time as a locum physio and can not recommend them enough! David was professional, easy to communicate with (and have a laugh) and really took the time to find out what I wanted from the experience. He valued what I had to say and did a brilliant job ensuring that the positions I was offered would work for me and I wasnt just a number in the system. David and the team were efficient and so helpful ensuring the paperwork side of things ran smoothly, they made the process so easy which is impressive considering I was travelling and on the other side of the globe at some points! I was always in the loop which i really appreciated and felt well informed during every step David was super supportive and approachable and made the transition into my role a breeze. I plan on coming back to the UK for locum work in future and will definitely be contacting David as my first point of call!

He’s amazing work rate and continued communication ensures I’ve never encountered any work place issues and he also provides the best rates I’ve encounter for NHS physiotherapists. Since I first contacted Emma.B. regarding finding a job in London she has been extremely friendly, professional and contactable. When I started with CPL locum agency, I was originally paired with Dan who was brilliant. When I heard Dan was leaving, I was a little nervous as I had such a good experience with it being my first agency. I was then paired with Elouise! Who is absolutely fantastic! Elouise makes you feel like a friend who is helping you out rather than someone who is “needing” to help you for work/financial gain. Elouise has always been at the other end of the phone to help me with any concerns and is constantly proactive to make sure all my problems/questions are answered. I really can fault Elouise with her work, she is a happy voice at the end of the phone and a hard working agent who is always looking out for the best job for me. I worked with Emma during my time with CPL as an agency occupational therapist and she has made my experience extremely easy, stress free and enjoyable. Emma is great at communicating and always gave me regular updates as to what she was doing. She has always been friendly and helpful both over text and phone calls and this has put my mind completely at ease each time we've had contact. As well as this, she has brilliant knowledge of the different services and never let me down with finding a new agency role and giving me all the details to get in touch with them. When things haven't gone quite to plan, Emma has been extremely supportive and helped resolve any issues quickly. Emma is a true asset to the company.

Emma took the time to really listen to my preferences in terms of my previous experience, preferred caseload, maximum travel distance, pay rate, etc. This meant the jobs I was interviewing for were ones I was excited about and really interested in. Emma is kind, approachable, quick to respond and to take action and is genuinely good at what she does.
