Celsius Graduate Recruitment

The assessment center was a masterclass in time-wasting, hosted by David Shields. The first hour (yes, a full hour) was David going round asking everyone the same thrilling questions: “Why graduates?” and “Why sales?” Riveting stuff. We each got about 1–2 minutes to actually speak and every time someone did manage to get a word out, David would immediately launch into what I can only describe as a performance piece about his own brilliance. It was like watching someone applaud themselves in real time. Painful. Then came the “chance” to impress the employer. We were shoved into breakout rooms… only for the employer to pop in for two minutes at the very end. Two. Minutes. Not sure how anyone was expected to “shine,” unless David thinks telepathy is part of the role. After the employer left, the promises started. According to David, we’d all get feedback that evening and be put forward for other roles. Shockingly and totally unsurprisingly absolutely none of that happened. A week later? No feedback. No update. No alternative roles. Just me, sitting with an inbox full of messages they have clearly chosen to ignore. I took time off work for this circus, and honestly, I regret every minute. If you’re a graduate who values your time, energy, or dignity, my opinion is simple: avoid this company and the nonsense that comes with it.

David Shields was massively helpful and supportive throughout my application experience with Celcius. From after the initial application through to the eventual job offer, he was supportive and collaborative throughout. He was incredibly flexible to my needs considering that I was working in a heavily micromanaged environment giving me limited availability during traditional business hours, and guided me and coached me on each stage of the interview process to guarantee success. I cannot emphasise enough the level of support and detail he was able to provide me and my gratitude for our collaboration.

Really helpful! David and Will were both accessible and supportive throughout each stage of my application process and always had time for any questions/conversations all the way up until my offer. Straight to the point and very effective, would recommend!

A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME - UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL! My advice to anyone thinking about this place is simple: don't bother. The assessment day I was on was run by the CEO, Guy called: DAVID SHIELDS, and it was a joke from the start. He began the session by making strange and unprofessional comments about our appearances, which was a massive red flag. After that, we did rushed introductions and he cut me off mid-sentence. Then, right before the main group task, I was suddenly kicked out of the Zoom call. No warning, no explanation, just a pop-up on my screen saying "The host has removed you from the meeting." A few minutes later, I got a blunt text saying they weren't progressing me. The whole thing showed a total lack of respect for the time and effort you put in. Looking at the other reviews, it's clear THIS ISNT A JUST A ONE OFF ITS JUST HOW DAVID SHIELDS RUNS THE CIRCUS! If you're a serious candidate and want to be treated with basic decency, please avoid this place.

AVOID THIS CIRCUS Two-hour group interview run by CEO David Shields, whose ego clearly enters the room before he does. Incredibly disrespectful and made comments on physical appearance. Expect very little input from candidates and a whole lot of him talking at you — like a motivational speaker who forgot he’s not the one being interviewed. You’ll be told to expect a follow-up call. You won’t get one. I chased Celsius — total silence after a copy-paste rejection email. No feedback. No respect for your time. This place doesn’t value candidates, only its own voice. If you're looking for a serious opportunity, look elsewhere.

Cut off HALFWAY THROUGH a zoom interview to be told the company didn't want to progress any further. Was advised by recruitment CEO that I'd recieve feedback straight away. This was never sent and messages since have been read and ignored. Very unprofessional

A dreadful experience with them. You’ll get a call from David Shields, the CEO, which lasts 20-30 minutes as he spends most of the time praising himself. Then you’ll be in a group interview with 10+ other people and be given very little time to actually speak. Shields will tell you to treat it like an exam and put hours of preparation into it for the 4/5 lines you’ll actually get a chance to say. There’s no direct questions back from the employer. At the end he’ll promise feedback to everyone but despite emails requesting this I’m yet to receive it. Don’t waste your time with this company, you’re best off putting the time into applications directly to organisations
