Allen Lane Recruitment

I'm not a sore loser, but I'm not convinced these people know what they are doing in order to be handled public sector and government recruitment services. I applied for a job that is exactly like my experience and skills and I wrote a statement of suitability for the role, but as always the Civil Service are famous for being inequal and discriminatory, they now hand their recruitment process to private companies with bad reviews, like this one where their old account was closed due to negative reviews. Therefore, my outcome was no shortlisting. Also, the process contradicts equality and diversity by removing the anonymity of the applicant, if I have to send an email from my personal email when their recruiters identify my name, first through LinkedIn and second through personal email as non native one, then you have totally subjected us to the same old system of racist recruitment that was identified as unfair, hence they introduced all those useless equality initiatives in Civil Service and Public sector recruitment, which was proven useless anyway and will always remain useless. In my mind the NPR of the Civil Service recruitment will always remain bad as long as such private companies with no skills and personal agendas probably.

Recruitment and interview process/on-boarding was great. Timesheet and Expenses portal is poor (Expenses has never worked in over 6 months); response to queries is slow, especially when your contact doesn't work Fridays and the "info" email never responds. Xmas payroll hours are disappointing given that Friday 31st is a normal working day.

Simon Winter is very good at what he does. He always brought roles that were interesting and gave me a lot of information about the employer and the role, interview techniques etc. I got an offer thanks to his hard work. Highly recommended.
