Significant Issues

I had a really poor experience with this recruitment company, particularly with their employee Ria. After my interview, she completely stopped responding to my emails and never followed up with any updates. I had to chase multiple times just to find out if there was any feedback from the interviewer, but she never replied. Even if I didn’t get the job, I believe it’s basic professionalism to let candidates know the outcome. It feels like Ria only cares about getting commission from successful placements rather than genuinely helping people through the recruitment process. Overall, I found the communication and follow-up to be very unprofessional and disappointing.

Well done for finding my email from some sort of list and sending me details of a job to my work email. I have requested details of the data that you have on me.

I really do want to recommend against this agency. They will try to offer you the most unpopular student accommodation without caring and understanding the international students’ concern. :(

Significant Issues

I was put forward for a role by Millie and Lily and went in for an interview, but shortly after that the communication completely stopped. I chased multiple times for an update and specifically asked them to let me know the outcome as I had another offer on the table, but I was still ignored and strung along for weeks. Being left in the dark after investing time in the process is really unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for candidates. The whole experience has made me doubt whether they actually value the people they represent, or if they just drop you once you’re no longer useful. Very poor communication overall, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend them. I am grateful I went with my other offer rather than waiting for a reply.

Not very happy with this agency, was ghosted after interview set up by Molly, despite chasing feedback. Have spoken to Lily several times regarding roles, and then I don't hear anything. Makes me doubt if they value representing candidates or can't keep up with responses, checking in etc.

I was registered with Adecco through Lily Hurley for two months and, unfortunately, found the experience very disappointing. Despite promises to connect me with their permanent team, offer temporary opportunities, and provide timely updates, none of these happened. I was put forward for one temporary opportunity but never received an update from the client, even after following up. I also liaised with Maisie during this time. After investing significant time submitting documents and references, I received very little communication and no meaningful progress. While Lily and Megan were warm and professional in their interactions, the overall candidate neglect was evident. This is a recurring issue in many recruitment firms that build large pools of temporary candidates to keep “on hand” but rarely engage with. Lily has since acknowledged these shortcomings via email, and I normally never leave reviews. However, I believe it’s important for others to know to keep their expectations realistic with this agency, as certain processes lack integrity. As a facilities management professional who regularly uses temp agencies myself, I know the importance of treating candidates with respect — and based on my experience, I would not engage with Adecco in that capacity.
