Academics Ltd

Poor communication. Management needs to be aware of how poorly this agency is run. Consultants do not call back after saying they will. They are also hesitant to discuss roles available, which is off pointing. Offered a role eventually after complaining, only to be told they have no record of me calling in. Was told one of the consultants had left and hadn’t passed my details on. Luckily, another agency offered me a few roles to consider.

The overall experience working with Academics is very positive. I was put in touch with James Wyles, looking for my next career move, who offered me recruitment support and great job placements and has been incredibly amazing with me from start to finish. It was an absolute pleasure speaking with this consultant and I can’t recommend them enough. Over a short span of time, a fantastic role came about, which aligned with my goals and possibilities. I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t thank James enough for his consideration, genuine care and the ability to deliver and adapt. I’ve been given a chance to gain new skills and knowledge to progress to further opportunities and I credit this to my journey with Academics.

I emailed all the relevant information to 'Academics', as requested. There was no acknowledgement that the agency received it. Eventually, I contacted a member of the Academics but he informed me that another colleague of his is 'dealing with my case'. This 'other person' never bothered to get in touch for three weeks. It It seems even the references were not checked. The attempted registration was a very laborious process: providing evidence of qualifications, filling in a lengthy application form, passing child protection training - all these steps were utter waste of time.

They are an unprofessional and shoddy outfit who never dealt with my complaint after I applied for a number of jobs with them, yet never heard back! They also pay lower than my other agency as they are greedy! I do not recommend them as an agency, as they are filled with rude consultants and clueless managers.

I have worked with a few agencies, and Academics have been the absolute best! During my time spent working with the agency I worked with Daniel, he was so efficient, so understanding and an absolute dream to deal with. I would recommend Academics to all my family and friends.

Prompt, positive and highly professional.

My experience at Academics, working closely with Daniel Wheeler, has been nothing short of exceptional. I am a teacher with a twenty-year career in the classroom (currently on a sabbatical) and will happily attest to the following: Daniel goes above and beyond. He is readily accessible over the phone or via email, is understanding of teacher's needs, and advocates excellently for his contractors. He has made me feel extremely valued during my six month term of employment. I have found him to be reliable and diligent in all aspects - from sorting salary and pension issues to mediating with school administrators. I cannot recommend highly enough both his services and that of Academics - a first class journey I would gladly repeat.

Working with Daniel and Elizabeth has always been a pleasure. They both have a lot of years of experience on their shoulders, find really good schools to work in and are always willing to have a chat with you making you feel cared for as a member of their teachers' pool.

I would highly recommend Academics. My main point of contact was Daniel, who was and continues to be incredibly helpful and supportive. He managed to secure a role for me in a very short time and did the same for all the friends I referred quickly and without any hassle. His efficiency and dedication truly stand out!

Worked with Academics over 2 years now. By far the best recruitment agency I've worked with. Very receptive, very cooperative. They don't make false promises and have taken care of me since I joined. Have had friends work with this company and feel similarly. They have great relationships with schools too. Particular shout out to DANIEL (works at Academics) who has been a gem in what can be a dog eat dog world of recruitment. Please use Academics!
