3D Personnel - Southampton

I’m writing to formally share my experience with 3D Personnel Ltd, which, unfortunately, has been the most disappointing of my career to date. I have worked with several recruitment agencies in the past and have never encountered issues of this nature. I applied for a labourer vacancy in Lancing, listed as an ongoing project on Indeed. Shortly after, I was contacted by a representative from your agency named Marcela. I specifically asked whether the project was ongoing, and she assured me that it was. Based on this assurance, I declined another job opportunity closer to home, which was also described as ongoing. The following morning, I arrived at the Cala Homes site in Lancing at 7:45 AM, only to receive a call from Marcela informing me that the site induction had already taken place and I would not be able to work that day. She admitted this was a mistake on the agency's part and promised I would be compensated for the lost day, which I accepted in good faith. Later that day, Marcela asked if I could return to work the following day. Since I had already purchased a weekly train ticket in anticipation of ongoing work, I agreed. However, she then informed me it would be a one-day job and asked if I knew someone else who could also come for the day. I declined, explaining that it would be difficult to find someone on such short notice, especially without a clear guarantee of work—given what I had just experienced. On the second day, I arrived on-site at 7:20 AM and worked until 5:00 PM. During the day, I realized that I had been sent home the previous day because there were too many labourers on-site—a clear miscommunication between the agency and the site. Another worker from 3D Personnel arrived around 11:00 AM and mentioned that he had also been told the job was ongoing. By the end of the day, he also discovered it was only a one-day assignment. When I followed up with Marcela regarding the promised compensation for the first day, she repeatedly said she needed to speak with her manager. However, I have yet to receive any update. Additionally, when I finally received payment a week later, I was only paid for 8 hours, even though I worked 9.5 hours on-site (9 hours after deducting break time). This underpayment raises further concerns about the agency’s reliability and commitment to fair treatment. To summarize: I was misled about the duration of the job. I lost a viable job opportunity due to false assurances. I was promised compensation for a day I was turned away, which has not been fulfilled. I was underpaid for the hours I did work. This entire experience has been extremely disappointing, and I have decided that I will not work with 3D Personnel Ltd again in the future. Thank you for your time.

Always had good service from 3D... I think Doz has been there since time began..!! Been registered with them for over 10 years 👍Always helpful and understand that not all of their construction clients looking for operatives are right all of the time. On occasion, I've had to point out that the MEWP they've hired is not quite right for the job...

I have been with 3d 10 years and they have always gone out of there way to make sure I been in work I have never had problems with pay or anything big shout out to doz and Joanna who go out of there way to help us at any time :)
